Minor ailment services Facebook storm

Pharmacy minor ailment services have hit the headlines over the past few days, courtesy of a post on Facebook claiming that all parents can get free Calpol via their local scheme.

The post was shared over 100,000 times and sparked the interest of many parents and lots of national and regional media.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has worked with BBC Health Online to correct the misinformation circulating and created a feature about minor ailment services which links to an RPS animation about the scheme.
