Increase to NHS prescription charges from 1st April 2016

From 1st April 2016 there will be an increase in NHS charges for prescriptions, dental treatment, wigs and fabric support charges and in optical voucher values.
Prescription charges will increase by 20 pence from £8.20 to £8.40 per item or appliance dispensed.
The cost of prescription prepayment certificates (PPC) remains at £29.10 for 3 months or £104 for 12 months.
