Medicines Adherence: Supporting patients with their treatment e-learning

Posted on:

King’s College London is re-launching their e-learning course aimed at pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to help patients improve their health through medicines adherence.

The free course, which will take place over a two-week period starting on 30th January 2017, is designed for healthcare professionals, but may also be of interest to those with an academic or personal interest in medicines adherence.

The course features video material, scenarios and discussions and includes contributions from a range of healthcare professionals, researchers and clinical academics.

Learners will explore challenges of medicines non-adherence, factors that may influence patient medicines use and approaches that can effectively engage patients in consultations about self-managing medicines. The course will also provide an opportunity to identify patients who may be having problems with their medicines and employ strategies to be implemented in daily practice to support these patients.
